The Opportunity Collaborative will host a Community Summit on Saturday, September 6 from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in Baltimore.

This event will offer an opportunity to dialogue and share meaningful feedback with Opportunity Collaborative members, grassroots coalitions and community organizations, and other members of the public. The day will have a workshop structure that will allow small group interaction as well as a plenary session that will include lunch and a presentation from some of the Opportunity Collaborative engagement sub-grantees.

Participants will have the opportunity to take part in three separate types of experiences where we will share or garner feedback needed to inform our Regional Plan for Sustainable Development (RPSD). These experiences will include:

  • A scenario exercise designed to expose participants to decision points in a day in the life of someone else that effect their housing, transportation and workforce reality.
  • A presentation where participants are asked to choose and then prioritize potential investment initiatives. The session will garner feedback through small group conversations.
  • A workshop to share the findings on Regional Opportunities and Challenges, and the recommendations in our housing and workforce plans and our Fair Housing and Equity Assessment (FHEA).
